Our Center is blessed to receive frequent visits from SRF monastics. The SRF resident monastic nuns of SRF Greenfield Retreat in Front Royal, VA, including Sister Brahmani, lead our morning services about six times a year and attend the potluck luncheon and social that follows. SRF monastics also frequently lead our All-Day Christmas Meditation.

Occasionally, SRF monastics will conduct weekend-long conducted retreats at our Center where they will conduct review classes of some of the SRF meditation techniques, give How-to-Live talks from the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda and conduct meditation and Sunday services. Other times, they visit and lead our Thursday evening service. A special event is when they lead a Center Tour weekend where Kriya Yoga initiation is offered to those eligible.

Past Visits

Self-Realization Fellowship monastics Brother Govindananda and Brahmachari Neil visited Washington D.C., April 19–21, 2024, to meet with members and friends of Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual family. During the Center Tour weekend, there were inspirational programs, meditation classes, and a Kriya Yoga initiation.
