Current News

Washington DC Center would like to add the services we held pre-pandemic on Sunday evening, Thursday evening, and Saturday long meditations. However, to do so we need service readers, greeters, and ushers to serve at these times. Please consider volunteering for these services. Additionally, we need more greeters for Sunday mornings. Contact Jackie Valone (jtvalone@gmail.com) if you are interested in learning more about serving the Center and Master in this way.

We are also looking for volunteers for the Recycling Team and the Social Team. Anyone interested, please send an email to Washington.DC.SRF@Gmail.com or talk with the lobby usher. Jai Guru.

Prince Georges County, MD has reduced its COVID-19 level to low and has removed the mask requirement for places of worship. Since we are following the PG County guidelines, we are changing the mask requirement to recommended. Due to the current health concerns, there are some other safety procedures we have implemented. We ask all attending to adhere to the new policies and procedures while in the building:

1. Masks are recommended but not required while in the building.
2. There will be social distancing throughout the Center, however, family groups can sit closer together if desired.
3. We will start with silent and mental chanting during the services.
4. There will be additional seating in the overflow room.
5. We will not pass the donation basket, therefore please place your donations in the basket at the rear of the chapel as you leave.
6. We ask that everyone exit the building after the service. Please use the outdoor space if you wish to socialize with your fellow devotees.
