Fresh Cranberry Raisin Sauce
- 1 12 oz. bag fresh cranberries (3 ½ cups)
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup filtered water
- a pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves or allspice
- ¼ cup honey or to taste
Combine all ingredients except honey in medium sauce, and bring to a boil
over medium heat. Reduce heat to simmer and let cook about 10 minutes until berries
are well cooked. Remove from heat and add honey to taste.
