We have many opportunities to meditate together as a group this month including two Commemorative services celebrating the Mahasamadhi's of our Guru and Paramguru. Please see details below and on our website for the dates and times. Due to your generosity and support, the Building fund has a balance of $152,367.32 as of January 31, 2010. As noted in our last newsletter the demolition for Phase I renovation is complete. The architect has the contract from Mother Center and once it is signed he will apply for the building permit. This takes approximately one month or so. We will then have subcontractors bid on the work. The cost of Phase I is $85,000. Once Phase I is complete, if we can find tenants to sublease our current space, we will be able to move into the new building and start Phase II.

Commemorative Service honoring the Mahasamadhi of Paramahansa Yogananda, Sunday March 7
|
 We will hold a special service commemorating the Mahasamadhi of our beloved Guruji on Sunday March 7, beginning at 10:00 am and ending around 11:00 am. Please be aware that this service will take the place of our regularly scheduled Sunday meditation service. Please bring a flower and a donation in an envelope as symbols of your loyalty and devotion to the SRF line of Gurus. Extra flowers and envelopes are available on a donation basis. All who can attend with reverence and devotion are welcome.

Commemorative Service honoring the Mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar, Tuesday March 9 |
 A special service commemorating the Mahasamadhi of our Paramguru, Swami Sri Yukteswarji, will be held on Tuesday, March 9th starting at 7:30 pm and ending around 8:45 pm. Please bring a flower and a donation in an envelope as symbols of your loyalty and devotion to the SRF Gurus. Extra flowers and envelopes are available on a donation basis. All who can attend with reverence and devotion are welcome.

Monthly Potluck and Service Readers Team Meeting, Sunday, March 14 |
Our monthly potluck will be on Sunday, March 14 in our upstairs room. All are welcome, especially newcomers, to enjoy an afternoon of spiritual fellowship with other devotees. Also on this date, the Service Readers team will hold a meeting. If you are a service reader and need more details please contact Sally Maxton .

3-hour Meditation with Kirtan on Sunday, March 7 |
Our Center will hold its monthly 3-hour meditation with Kirtan on Sunday March 7 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. After Energization, in our upstairs room, the meditation begins with one hour of Kirtan or devotional chanting, followed by meditation and chanting periods ending at 9:30 pm. All are welcome to attend .

4-hour Meditation on Saturday, March 27 |
Our Center will hold its monthly 4-hour meditation on Saturday March 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend . Master tells us " Meditate until you get results. The answer is sure if you persist. Love, serve, meditate."

Volunteer Opportunities |
The Nominating Committee for the 2010 elections sent out an email asking devotees their willingness to serve this year. If you have not yet answered this email, please do so as soon as possible to avoid using valuable volunteer time in phone calls. Please click here for instructions.
